HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
Whether you're the mom who spends the whole day with her kids, or the mom that wants a day off from the kids (Dads...take those kids fishing or something!) I hope you have an amazing day!
To all the Dads out there...treat those moms right...there's a reason that Father's Day comes second...they can gauge how well to treat you in June, based on how well you treat them today. I am four months old (almost four and a half), and I get this. You have been warned! Plus, it's just nice to treat them well. They take care of your kid(s) with you...
A special shout-out to my mom, who is having her first Mother's Day today...she has been great, and I really appreciate all that she has done for me...she covers the basics: Feeding, changing, and making me laugh. But, she also goes above and beyond, as well. She's always so happy to see me (Even when it's 5 am) and she never fails to snag a smile from me, even on my roughest days...she misses me when I'm not around, and makes the most of the time we're together. Everything she does means a lot to me...so, thanks, Mom!
And to my two Grandmas....you guys have done a fantastic job at mothering 3 kids (each), and have segued into being grandparents with a natural ease that your moms would truly be proud of...I hope you have a great day, too!
Below, as my gift to all the moms, is my first art project...basically, they put paint on my hands at daycare, and let me go to town...it doesn't look like much, but I was trying to convey a lot of emotion in this work. Also notice the two cutouts of my hands...I had some help from the wonderful staff at Children in the Shoe daycare. Ingrid and Gabby helped me trace and cut.
I really think this is worth something, right? I mean, if the clown who painted the below painting can sell theirs, why can't I?
